Facebook created a speed video dating app called Sparked
Social media Facebook has launched a video dating app called ‘Sparkd‘. Instead of direct messaging, Facebook is testing a new app for dating through short videos.
Technology website The Verge reports that Facebook’s Sparkd dating app will be different from other dating apps, including Tinder. The Sparkd app allows participants to get to know each other through a 4-minute video. If you like this session, they can share 10 minutes of video.
Participants will then be able to exchange contact addresses such as phone numbers, e-mails, Instagram IDs, etc. among themselves, the report said.
This idea of Facebook is a lot like a real-world dating event, where a single person appears directly in the hope of finding someone to love. As there is no public profile, the user has to answer some questions during registration. What kind of person does he want to date?
Confirming that the dating app is being tested, a Facebook spokesperson said that it is being tested at an early stage. The Sparkd app is being tested with 48 people in the United States. However, he did not say when it will be officially opened to the public.
When Sparkd is launched, it will be the second dating app of Facebook. Earlier in 2019, they launched a dating app called ‘Facebook Dating’ in the United States.
